KoC Banned from MMOs

Keepers of Chaos gaming history can easily be followed through our banning record. For some reason our playstyle has often been "misjudged" by the companies running these games, in most cases due to endless whines from the people we pked...

Funnily enough some guy was accusing us of duping on Darkfall Online's board today. He couldn't come up with a proof (although he claimed to have it on video) so he ended up referring to our previous history.

We have nothing to hide, so here is our previous record of getting banned in past games :

Ultima Online

Letter 1 - 1st of December 1999

Greetings,

This letter is to inform you that the Ultima Online Player Relations Department of Origin Systems has witnessed various levels of misconduct regarding actions of characters on your account. This misconduct includes being associating with one of the largest guilds in Ultima Online that employ exploitative activities to increase their game status at the expense of other players as well as the game itself.

No action is to be taken on your account at this time - this letter serves only as a warning that this conduct has been verified and will not be condoned. In the event that any such actions continue, the offending account
will be terminated immediately without any chance of being reopened. This is certainly not at all what we want to do; rather this is the point of this letter as it is what we want to avoid. However the decision to terminate
accounts is done with the best interests of the game and its players in mind, and we will move to protect those interests.

To have to engage in this discourse is not enjoyable, but at the same time we want to make sure that all parties are aware of what will happen should these actions continue. It is our hope that we can move forward from this and you the customer may enjoy your Ultima Online experience.

Greetings,

You were banned from AC for a gaming exploit. That exploit was the duplication of items in your inventory, which while producing the items desired, could result in a server crash. This activity was trackable, and accounts found to have done it were perma banned.

Since you have been banned since 2001, we could allow you to return, however all items in your characters inventories will be purged, and your character will start off with only basic equipment and a D note.

Your account would also keep a strike on it, and any further violations of the CoC could result in your removal from the game once again. If you would like to proceed, just respond to this message.

The few who got banned were unbanned within a month on their main and we got mule accounts
unbanned months/years later, either with full loot or just the chars on them based on the admin...

Q.How are you going to handle Player Killing?
Anyone can attack anyone. In fact we encourage you to seek out and kill enemies of your race and your clan. However, it is up to each kingdom to set the rules of their borders. The different kingdoms have NPC guards, that have orders given to them by the player kings and lords. For example, in the city state of Midheim, controlled by the player clan Black Rose, it is illegal to steal and attack players of neutral and good alignment. Evil characters are not allowed into the city, in addition to members of the Keepers of Chaos clan, members of The Mercs and members of the House of Chaos clan. Guards will attack violators on sight, and all inhabitants of the city are encouraged to do the same. (We may add a feature to have guards Kill On Sight individual players too).

Blood & SUN Darkfall Beta Videos

KoC & Friends getting ready for Darkfall

As previously said, the game is probably coming out 5 years too late for many of us due to RL not giving us as much time as we used to have for gaming... but KoC will definatly give Darkfall Online a go!

Several KoCs are coming back. We will most likely play Darkfall Online with friends from past games (mostly UO & AC) while trying to keep it small as Darkfall is not built like AC was.
